Employees and visitors of the Harry & David facility in Medford, Oregon, are regularly treated to the enticing aromas of cookies, chocolates, cakes, and Moose Munch® Premium Popcorn being mixed, baked, drizzled, and frosted in our bustling candy kitchen and bakery.
You might think it sounds a little whimsical having a chocolate factory in your own backyard — but that’s just part of the charm of Harry & David. It’s also a display of the love and devotion we pour into making the treats that go into our gifts.
One of the most popular creations to come out of our candy kitchen is our irresistible Moose Munch® Premium Popcorn. From April through October, we ramp up production to a full seven days a week in order to meet demand. In total, we produce about 4 million pounds of this irresistible snack in a single year!

Of course, popcorn is far from the only thing we make here in Medford. Over the course of a year, we produce:
- 30 million chocolate truffles
- 5 million chocolate mini mints
- 375,000 squares of baklava
- 40,000 fruitcakes
- 750,000 pounds of chocolate-covered fruit
- 400,000 loaf cakes
- 9.5 million raspberry galettes
- 63,000 cheesecakes, including 11,000 Cheesecake Party Wheels
The list doesn’t stop there. Many of our popular cakes — including our chocolate decadence cakes and pineapple macadamia nut cakes — are crafted here in Medford. Depending on the time of year, you’d also find us making deep dish peach and berry pies, deep dish pumpkin pies, or peppermint bark. We even help out with some of the goodies from our family of brands, like the cinnamon rolls, sticky buns, and coffee cakes from Wolferman’s Bakery.

By the time it’s all said and done, we use roughly 120,000 pounds of eggs, 300,000 pounds of butter, and 2.8 million pounds of chocolate across our creations. That’s plenty to keep our bakers busy!
