There is something so refreshing about pineapple season. After months of winter citrus, pineapple has a way of easing us into warmer months filled with sunshine and tropical fruit. The climbing temps bring chillier recipes, such as fresh salads and cool smoothies, into the rotation, and this simple pineapple smoothie recipe will become an instant favorite.

The subtle sweetness of juicy Harry & David pineapple lends itself well to this simple green smoothie. Tangy ginger complements the tropical flavor, while salty cashews add a natural source of protein to keep you satiated throughout the day.

Green Pineapple Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh pineapple (chopped)
  • 2 large bananas (peeled)
  • 12 ounces orange juice
  • 1 large Handful of spinach
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger (peeled and grated)
  • 14 cup raw cashews
  • 5 cups ice

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a high-powered blender and pulse until completely smooth. Pour into two glasses and serve with a slice of fresh pineapple.
